rūḍha रूढ
Definition: conventional; traditional; one of the four senses in which words are used. The senses are यौगिक (derivative), रूढ (conventional), योगरूढ and यौगिकरूढ; The term रूढ is also used in the sense of ' a conventional word ' cf. प्रथमाशब्दो विभक्तिविशेषे रूढः Kās. on P. VI. 1.102.
