"mātṛbhogīṇavat()" ityanena tadāpi nānena sūtreṇa vā ṇatvam(), kiṃ tarhi? lakṣaṇāntareṇeti darśayati. tenaitaduktaṃ bhavati--yadaivaṃ vyutpattirbhavati tadā yathā mātṛbogīṇa ityatra aṭkupvādinā 8.4.2 nityaṃ taddhitasya nakārasya ṇatvaṃ bhavati; tathā gargabhagiṇītyatrāpi. atra taddhitastha eva nakāraḥ, na tūttarapadasthaḥ. ata eva bhinnapadasthatā nimittanimittinornāśaṅkanīyā. yathā "pūrvapadātsaṃjñāyāmagaḥ" 8.4.3 ityanena niyamena ṇatvaṃ na nivarttyate, tathā tatraiva pratipāditam().
yadyuttarapadaṃ yatprātipadikaṃ tadantasya nakārasya ṇakāreṇa bhavitavyam(), evaṃ sati māṣavāpiṇī, māṣavāpinītyatra vibhāṣā ṇatvaṃ na prāpnoti. atra vāpinauśabda evottarapadam(), na vāpinnityetacchabdaḥ? ityata āha--"māvavāpinītyatra tu" ityādi. atra hi prāk? subutpatteḥ kṛdantenaiva vāpinnityanena samāse kṛte sati prātipadikasyānto nakāro bhavati; vāpinnityetasya "kṛttaddhitasamāsāśca" 1.2.46 iti prātipadikatvāt(). tasmādbhavatyevātra ṇatvamiti. kathaṃ punaḥ prāksubutpatteḥ samāse satyuttarapadasyānto nakāra upapadyate? yāvatā "suptiṅantaṃ padam()" 1.4.14 ityanena subantasya tiṅantasya ca padamityeṣā saṃjñā vihitā. tatrāsatyāṃ subutpattau padatvamatra na sambhavati. kutaḥ punaretaduttarapadamityeṣa viśeṣaḥ? rūḍhitvādadoṣaḥ. pūrvapadottarapadaśabdāvedau rūḍhiśabdau; yasmāt? samāse kṛte yaḥ kaścicchabdaḥ pūrvapadamiti prasiddhaḥ, yaḥ kaściduttarapadamiti. sā ca rūḍhirna subanteṣveva samāsāvayaveṣu sambhavati; kiṃ tarhi? asubanteṣvapi keṣuciditi. tat? kimatra nopapadyate pūrvottarapadanyavahāraḥ! na syādityata āha–uttarapadaṃ yatprātipadikaṃ tadantasyaiva ṇatvamiti. pūrvapadena
uttarapadamākṣiptam. tacca prātipadikasyaiva viśeṣaṇaṃ, natu tadantasya, nāpi
numvibhaktyoḥ, asaṃbhavāditi bhāvaḥ.
ṣaṣṭhīsamāse bhaginīśabda uttarapadaṃ, natu tatprātipadikaṃ, pratyayāntatvāt.
liṅgaviśiṣṭaparibhāṣayā prātipadikagrahaṇena bhaginīśabdasya grahaṇe.ñapi tadantamīkāra eva,
natu nakāraḥ, ato na tasyedaṃ pākṣikaṃ ṇatvamiti bhāvaḥ. prātipadikasyottarapadatvaviśeṣaṇaṃ
sūtrakārasya saṃmatamityāha–ata eveti. prātipadakasya uttarapadatvaviśeṣaṇādeva,
sūtrakāreṇa kṛtaṃ numgrahaṇamarthavat, anyathā tadanarthakamityarthaḥ. kuta ityata āha–
aṅgasyeti. `napuṃsakasya jhalacaḥ' iti numvidhāvaṅgasyetyanuvṛttam. tathāca
jhalantasyā'jantasya cā'ṅgasya klībasya num syātsarvanāmasthāne ityartho labhyate.
`māṣavāpāṇī'tyatra tu sarvanāmasthānaṃ prati māṣavāpaśabdo'ṅgam. tasya māṣavāpaśabdasya
vihito numāgamastadavayava eva bhavati, natu uttarapadabhūtavāpaśabdasyaivā'vayavaḥ. tathāca
uttarapadabhūtaprātipadikāntatvā'bhāvāt `prātipadikānte'tyanena
ṇatvavikalpasyā'prāptau numgrahaṇam. prātipadikasya uttarapadatvaṃ viśeṣaṇā'bhāve tu
māṣavāpaśabdāntāvayavasya numo māṣavāpeti prātipadikāntāvayavatvasya sattvāt
`prātipadikānte'tyeva siddhe numgrahaṇaṃ vyarthaṃ syādityarthaḥ. tadeva#ṃ
prātipadikasya uttarapadatvaviśeṣaṇe numgrahaṇaṃ liṅgamiti sthitam. vastutastuṃ nedaṃ
liṅgamityāha–kiṃñceti. kiñceti viśeṣapradarśane. `hivi prīṇane' bhvādiḥ,
idittvāt num, laṭaḥ śatrādeśaḥ. `māṣavāpāṇī'tyatra numo nasya
prātipadikāntatvepi prahiṇbanśabde numo nasya prātipadikāntatvā'bhāvāt
`prātipapadikānte'tyanena ṇatvavikalpasyā'prāptestadarthaṃ numgrahaṇamāvaśyakam. ata
uttarapadatvasya prātipadikaviśeṣaṇatve kathaṃ numgrahaṇaṃ liṅgaṃ syāt.
tasmāduttarapadaviśeṣaṇe bhāṣyameva śaraṇamiti bhāvaḥ. nanu māṣavāpiṇāvityatra `vāpinni'ti
prātipadikasya kathamuttarapadatvaṃ, `gatikārakopapadānāṃ kṛdbhiḥ saha samāsavacana'miti
subutpatteḥ prāgeva samāsapravṛtteriti cet, na uttarapadaśabdasya samāsacaramāvayave
rūḍhatvādityalam. nanu `ivi vyāptau' idittvānnum. lyuṭi anādeśaḥ.

ramyayūneti. ramyaścāsau yuvā ceti vigrahaḥ. prātipadikāntanakāra tvātprāptiḥ.
paripakvānīti. iha numo nakārasya `prātipadikānte'ti vikalpaṃ bādhitvā `kumati ce'ti
nityaṃ ṇatvaṃ prāptam, tadiha, yuvāditvānniṣidhyate. ekājuttarapade ṇaḥ.
ajantastrīliṅge punarbhūśabdanirūpaṇe vyākhyātamapi prakaraṇānurodhātsmaryate.
nityamityuktamiti. `ārambhasāmathryānnityamidaṃ ṇatva'miti tatraivoktamityarthaḥ.
harimāṇīti. maneṇryantāt `kvip ce'ti kvipi `gatikārakopapadānā'miti
subutpatteḥ prāk samāsaḥ. nāntatvānṅīp. atra`mā'niti prātipadikamuttarapadaṃ
tadantatvānnakārasya ṇatvavikalpe prāpte nityaṃ ṇatvam. numīti. `udāhyiyate' iti
śeṣaḥ. kṣīrapāṇīti. karmaṇyupapade pādhātoḥ `āto'nupasarge kaḥ' iti kaḥ, `āto lopa iṭi

"udāhyiyate" iti śeṣaḥ. māṣavāpeṇeti. tṛtīyāvibhaktisthatvānnasya ṇatvam. ityādīti. ṇatvā'bhāvapakṣe māṣavāpinau, māṣavāpāni, māṣavāpenetyudāhāryamiṃti bhāvaḥ. nanu gargāṇāṃ bhaginī gargabhaginītyatra ṅīppratyayaprakṛtibhūtabhaginśabdātmakaprātipadikāntatvānnakārasya ṇatvavikalpaḥ kuto na syādityata āha--uttarapadaṃ yatprātipadikaṃ tadantasyaiva ṇatvamiti. pūrvapadena uttarapadamākṣiptam. tacca prātipadikasyaiva viśeṣaṇaṃ, natu tadantasya, nāpi numvibhaktyoḥ, asaṃbhavāditi bhāvaḥ. neheti. gargāṇāṃ bhaginī gargabhaginīti ṣaṣṭhīsamāse bhaginīśabda uttarapadaṃ, natu tatprātipadikaṃ, pratyayāntatvāt. liṅgaviśiṣṭaparibhāṣayā prātipadikagrahaṇena bhaginīśabdasya grahaṇe.ñapi tadantamīkāra eva, natu nakāraḥ, ato na tasyedaṃ pākṣikaṃ ṇatvamiti bhāvaḥ. prātipadikasyottarapadatvaviśeṣaṇaṃ sūtrakārasya saṃmatamityāha--ata eveti. prātipadakasya uttarapadatvaviśeṣaṇādeva, sūtrakāreṇa kṛtaṃ numgrahaṇamarthavat, anyathā tadanarthakamityarthaḥ. kuta ityata āha--aṅgasyeti. "māṣavāpāṇī"tyatra tu sarvanāmasthānaṃ prati māṣavāpaśabdo'ṅgam. tasya māṣavāpaśabdasya vihito numāgamastadavayava eva bhavati, natu uttarapadabhūtavāpaśabdasyaivā'vayavaḥ. tathāca uttarapadabhūtaprātipadikāntatvā'bhāvāt "prātipadikānte"tyanena ṇatvavikalpasyā'prāptau numgrahaṇam. prātipadikasya uttarapadatvaṃ viśeṣaṇā'bhāve tu māṣavāpaśabdāntāvayavasya numo māṣavāpeti prātipadikāntāvayavatvasya sattvāt "prātipadikānte"tyeva siddhe numgrahaṇaṃ vyarthaṃ syādityarthaḥ. tadeva#ṃ prātipadikasya uttarapadatvaviśeṣaṇe numgrahaṇaṃ liṅgamiti sthitam. vastutastuṃ nedaṃ liṅgamityāha--kiṃñceti. kiñceti viśeṣapradarśane. "hivi prīṇane" bhvādiḥ, idittvāt num, laṭaḥ śatrādeśaḥ. "uttarapadatve cāpadādividhau" iti pratyayalakṣamapratiṣedhāt. na dvitīyaḥ. "svādiṣu" ityanena hi ramyaviśabdasyaiva padatvaṃ labhyate, natu viśabdasya , tṛtīyāvibhakteḥ samudāyādeva vidhānāt. ata eva "punarbhūṇā"mityatra nāmi bhūśabdamātrasya padatvā'bhāvāt "padavyavāye'pi" iti niṣedhā'bhāvāṇṇatvamiti prāñcaḥ. atra yadvaktavyaṃ tat "padatvayavāye'pītyatrānupadameva vakṣyate.
