ityata āha– oṇeriti. `oṇṛ apanayane' iti dhātoḥ ṛditkaraṇam auṇiṇadityatra
`\tnoglopī'ti upadhāhyasvapratiṣedhārtham. yadi tu upadhāhyasvātprāgeva
antaraṅgatvāddvitvaṃ syāttadā oṇ i a t ityatra `ajāderdvitīyasye'ti
ṇītyasya ṇicā saha dvitve sati paścādokārasya caṅpare ṇau upadhātvā'bhāvādeva
hyasvasyā'prasaktatvādṛditkaraṇaṃ vyarthaṃ syāt. `dvitvātprāgeva
upadhāhyasva'ityabhyupagame tu oṇ i a t ityasyāmavasthāyāṃ prāptasya hyasvasya

āha– ejādāvedhatāviti. `avarṇādejādyoretyedhatyo'riti vyākhyātatvāditi bhāvaḥ.

aḍḍadhāturdopadhaḥ. ṣṭutvasaṃpanno ḍakāraḥ. aḍḍi a t iti sthite
ṣṭutvasyā'siddhatvena dakārātparasya `ḍi'ityasya dvitvamiti bhāvaḥ. ārcidaditi.

iti. nanu caṅi `bjī'tyasya dvitve halādiśeṣa#e aubibjaditi rūpaṃ syāt.
aubjijadityeva dvitvamiti bhāvaḥ. tarhi dakāraḥ kuto na śruyate ityata āha-
- bhujanyubjāviti. nanu dvitvātprāgantaraṅgatvāddakārasya bakārādeśe sati `na
ndrā' iti niṣedhasya kathamiha pravṛttirityata āha– sa ceti. nanu `dru gatau'
drāvayati, caṅi `dru'ityasya dvitve uttarakhaṇḍasya vṛddhyāvādeśayorupadhāhyasve
`ruāvatiśṛṇotī'tyabhyāsasya ittve adidravaditi iṣyate. tannopapadyate. `na ndrāḥ'
iti dakārasya dvitvaniṣedhādityata āha–ajāderityeveti. `na ndrāḥ' ityatra
ajāderityanuvartata evetyarthaḥ. `ādibhūtādacaḥ' iti vyākhyātaṃ prāk. tataśca
ādibhūtādacaḥ parā nadarā dvirna bhavantīti phalitam. neheti. prakṛte ādibhūtādacaḥ
paratvā'bhāvānna dakāradvitvaniṣedha ityarthaḥ. `adidrapa'diti pāṭhe drādhātorṇici
puki `drāpī'tyasmādrūpam. nanu `lāvasthāyāma'ḍiti pakṣe acaḥ paratvamastyeveti
cenna, `na ndrāḥ' ityatra `liṭi dhāto'ritto dhātorityanuvarttya

na pravartate. ṛditkaraṇālliṅgāditi. yadi pūrvaṃ dvirvacanaṃ bhavettada. ṇiśabdasya
dvitve satyupadhāhyasvasyā'prāptestatpratiṣedhārthamṛditkaraṇaṃ vyarthaṃ
syādatastadukte'tha jñāpakameva. ejādāvedhatāviti. `etyedhatyūṭhsu' iti sūtre
`ejādyoretyedhatyo'riti vyākhyātatvāditi bhāvaḥ. na ca mā bhavānpredidhadityatra
`ṇau caṅī'ti hyasve kṛte nāyamedhatiriti vṛddherapravṛttau kimedhaterejādiviśeṣameneti
vācyam, ekadeśavikṛtasyā'nanyatvāt. na caivamapi `ajāderdvitīyasye'ti
dhiśabdasthāne dhidhiśabdādeśe sati vasnasoriva prakṛtipratyayavibhāghasaṃmoha iti vācyaṃ,
`dviḥ prayogo dvirvacanaṃ ṣaṣṭha'miti bhāṣye siddhāntatatvāt. anyathā ihaiva
predidhadityatra ṇilopo na syāt, `jighāṃsatī'tyādau sanaḥ sakāreṇa viśiṣṭasya
dvitve kṛte kutvaṃ ca na syāditi dik. ubja ārjava iti. ayamupadhmānīyopadha iti
vārtikakṛtoktam. tasya `jhalāṃ jaś jhaśī'ti jhaśtvena bakāre kṛte– abjitā
ubjitumiti rūpam. etaccā'yogavāhānāṃ śarṣu pāṭhasya phalam.
bhāṣyakārādayastūpadhmānīyopadhapāṭhe `ubjijiṣatī'ti rūpaṃ na sidhyet. yadi
`pūrvatrā'siddhīyamadvirvacane' ityāśritya bakārottaraṃ dvitvaṃ kriye, yadi vā
asyā'nityatāmāśritya bakārātpūrvamevopadhmānīyasya
dvitvamubhayatāpīṣṭarūpā'siddhiḥ, ādye ubibjiṣati, dvitīye
tūpadhmīnīyasyā'ctvāttadādeḥ `ajāderdvitīyasye'ti dvitve halādiḥ śeṣe
dvitīyopadhmānīyasya jaśtvena bakāre paścātprathamasyāpi tathaiva bakāre
ubbjiṣatītyāpatteḥ. tataśceṣṭasiddhaye dakāropadho'yaṃ svīkāryaḥ.
`bujanyubjā'viti nipātanādupadhādakārasya bo bhavatīti vākyaṃ kalpyate, tacca `stoḥ
śnunā ścu'rityasyāgre. tadayamarthaḥ— ścunā yoge ud?jerdakārasya bakāra iti.
abhyudraḥ samudra ityatra tu ubjitā ubjitumityatreva cavargayogo nāstīti na
bakāraḥ. dakāropadhe cāsmansvīkarṛte `na ndrāḥ' iti niṣedhājjiśabdasya dvitve tato
bakāre ca ubjijiṣatīti sidhyati rūpam. na ca `pūrvatrāsiddhīyamadvirvacane'iti
dhakārottaraṃ dvirvacane sati syādevā'niṣṭamiti vācyam, dvirvacane hi traipādikaṃ
siddhaṃ na tu tanniṣedhe'pi. tathā ca niṣedhe tripādīśthasyā'siddhatvāt `na ndrāḥ'
iti niṣedhaḥ pravartate. ydavā tādṛśavākyamiha na kalpyate kiṃ tu `bhujanyubjau' iti
nipātanena dasya ba iti. na caivaṃ bakārasahitasya dvitvaprasaṅgaḥ,
dhātordakāroccāraṇasāmathryāt. nacā'bhyudra ityādāvapi bakāraśravaṇaprasaṅgaḥ,
akutvaviṣaya eva bakāranipātanābhyupagamāt. yadvā abhyudra ityādi rūpaṃ
dvyupasargādramerḍapratyaye jñeyam. ud?jestu ghañi anabhidhātprayogā'bhāva iti
vadanti. tadetadbhāṣyādimatamabhipretyāha– upadeśe dakāropadha ityādi. ajāderityeveti.
`na ndrāḥ' ityatra ajāderityanuvartate, tena ādibhūtādacaḥ parā eva nadarā
dvirnocyante nānye ityarthaḥ. nanu `lāvasthāyāmeva `a'ḍiti bhāṣyākoraktapakṣe
adidrapadityatra ajāditvamastyeva, nyāyyaśca prathamamaṭ, paratvādantaraṅgatvācceti
cet. atrāhuḥ– dvitīyasyetyapyatrānuvartate, tatsāmathryācca nityaṃ
dvitīyasyeti tadarthaḥ. tena lāvasthāyāmaṭi kṛte'pi dātusaṃjñāpravṛttikāle
ajāditvā'bhāvānnoktadoṣaḥ. nityaṃ dvitīyasyaikāco ye nadarāsteṣāmeva niṣedhāt. na
caivaṃ nitya#ṃ dvitīyasyeti vyākhyayaiva
iṣṭasiddhāvajāderityasyā'trānuvṛttirmāstviti vācyam, indridīyiṣatītyatra
dakārasyāpi dvitvaniṣedhāpatteḥ. ajāderityuktau tvādibhūtadacaḥ paratvaṃ dakārasya
neti siddhamiṣṭam. na ca ajāderiti karmadhārayātpañcamītyuktatvāt. iha ca ekadeśe
svaritatvaṃ pratijñāya aca ityevānuvatryatām. athavā āderitysayāpyanuvartanamastu,
tasya nāvayavaparatvaṃ, kiṃtu pūrvavartimātraparatvaṃ, śabdādhikārāśrayaṇāditi jñeyam.
nanvevamuttarārthatayā dvitīyasyeti grahaṇasya sārthakatve sthite `dvitīyasyeti na
vaktavya'miti bhāṣyaṃ virudhyeteti cet. maivam. yasminsūtre paṭhitaṃ tatra
māstviti tadāśayāt. rana ca ajāderityetāvatyukteyasya kasyacidekāco dvitvaṃ
syāditi vācyam, prathamasyaikācaḥ pūrveṇaiva siddheḥ punarārambho dvitīyasya
