halṅyādilope saṃyogāntasya lope ca kṛte nakārasya ruḥ bhavati. vasvantasya khalvapi
mīḍhvastokāya tanayāya mṛla. indra sāhvaḥ. kvasor nipātanam
dāśvānsāhvānmīḍhvāṃśca iti. matuvasoḥ iti kim? brahman stoṣyāmaḥ.

"vana upasaṃkhyānam()" iti. ananubandhakasya vano'sambavātsāmānyena kvanibbanipogrrahaṇam(). yaśca matvarthe "kvanibvanipau chandasi vaktavyau" (vā.582()) ityaupasaṃkhyānikaḥ, tasyāpi grahaṇam(). "prātaritva" iti. "iṇ? gatau" (dhā.pā.1045) prātāpūrvaḥ, āto maninkvanibdhanipaśca" 3.2.74 ityanuvatrtamāne "anyebhyo'pi dṛśyante" 3.2.75 iti kvanip(), "hyasvasya piti kṛti tuk()" 6.1.69. idaṃ tu sampadāditvādinā kvipi tuki tadantanmatupi "jhayaḥ" 8.2.10 iti vatve matvantādeva sidhyatīti nopasaṃkhyānaṃ prayojayati.
"vibhāṣā" ityādi. bhavacchabdaḥ "bhāterḍavatuḥ" ["bhāterḍavatup()"--paṃ.u.1-64] iti ḍavatupratyayānto vyutpāditaḥ. avyutpannaṃ vokārānubandhaṃ prātipadikam(); itarau tu matvantau. "he bhoḥ" iti. numo rutve kṛte'vaśabdasya sarvasyaiva sthāna okāraḥ kriyate, nālo'ntyasya, "nānrthake'lontyavidhiḥ" (vyā.pa.62) iti kṛtvā.
"nupātavijñānāt? siddham()" iti. etadgrahaṇakavākyam(). "atha vā" iti. asyaiva vivaraṇam(). "asambaddhāvapi" ityādi. etena nipātatve hetuṃ darśayati. yadyupasaṃkhyānādeva bho ityevamādikaṃ syāt(), dvivacanabahuvacanayorna syāt(); sambuddhyabhāvāt(). striyāñca sambuddhāvapi na syāt()--bho brāāhṛṇīti; atra strīliṅgaviśiṣṭānāmanupādānāt(). "prātipadikagrahaṇe liṅgaviśiṣṭasyāpi grahaṇam()" (vyā.pa.29) iti cet(), na; vibhkatau tatpratiṣedhāt()--vibhaktau yatkāryaṃ viṣīyate tatreyaṃ paribhāṣā pratiṣidhyate; "vibhaktau liṅgaviśiṣṭasyāgrahaṇam()" (vyā.pa.30) iti vacanāt(). athāpi na pratiṣidhyate? evamapi bhavatīti sthite ikārasya["īkārasya"--prāṃu.pāṭhaḥ] rutve kṛte'vaśabdasya caukāre kṛte rutvasyāsiddhatvāt? saṃyogāntalopābhāve sati visarjanīye kṛteniṣṭaṃ rūpaṃ syāt(). tasmādasambuddhau, striyāñca darśanānnipātā evaite veditavyāḥ.
nipātatvaṃ punareṣāṃ vibhaktipratirūpakatvāt(), "vibhaktisvarapratirūpakāśca" (ga.sū.16) iti cādiṣu pāṭhāt(). pavañca bhoḥ śabdasya nipātatvaṃ syāt(); bhavatervici kṛte guṇe ca vibhaktyante bhoḥśabdasyaiva vidyamānatvāt(), itarayostu na syāt(). na hrasatyasmiśupasaṃkhyāne bhagośabdaḥ, aghoḥśabdasca vibhaktyanto'sti, yatpratirūpakau nipātau syātām(). tasmāt? sautrā evaite nipātā veditavyāḥ; "bhobhagoadhoapūrvasya" 8.3.17 ityatra sūtre eṣāṃ pāṭhāt(). atha vā--upasargavibhaktitvarapratirūpakāśceti cakārasyānuktasamuccayārthatvānnipātatvameṣāṃ veditvayam(). yadi tarhi nipātatvameṣāmāśrityopasaṃkhyānaṃ pratyākhyāyate, tadā bhoḥśabdaprayoge samostatobhostatrabho ityatra "itarābhyo'pi dṛśyante" (5.3.14) ti bhavadādiyoge vidhīyamānāstasilādayo na sidhyanti? aniṣṭasvādadoṣaḥ. yo hi nipātatvādupasaṃkhyānaṃ pratyācaṣṭe sa bhoḥśabdaprayoge tasilādīnnecchatyeva॥
