nighātayuṣmadasmadādeśā vaktavyāḥ. iha mā bhūvan, ayaṃ daṇḍo hara anena, odanaṃ paca tava

"iha ca" ityādi. caśabdaḥ samucyaye. idañcāparamattyā iṣṭeḥ prayojanamiti darśayati. "iha devadatta mātā te kathayati" ityekaṃ vākyam(), "nadyāstiṣṭhati kūle" iti dvitīyam(). "śālīnāṃ ta odanaṃ dāsyāmi" iti tṛtīyam(). tatra prathame vākye--ihetyasmāt? padāt? parasya devadattasyāmantritasyānena nighāto yathāsyāt(), dvitīye--nadyā itvasmātparasya yuṣmacchabdasya "temayāvekavacanakya" 8.1.22 iti ta ityevamādeśo yathā syādityevamarthaṃ samānavākye nighātādayo veditavyāḥ. asmacchabdādeśodāharaṇamiha nopanyastam(); yuṣmacchabdādeśodāharaṇenaivāvagamyamānatvāt(). tātpunaḥ śālaunāmodanaṃ me dehītyevaṃjātīyakaṃ tatra draṣṭavyam(). kiṃ punaḥ syādyadi samānavākye nighātayuṣmadasmadādeśā nocyeraṇ()? ityata āha--"āmantritāntam()" ityādi. prathame tāvadvākye--ihetyetadadhikaraṇapradhānam(), adhikaraṇañcādheyāpekṣam(), taccādheyaṃ mātā na tu devadattaḥ. iha te svitā mātā kathayatītyarthaḥ. tasmādihaśabdena nāstidevadattatyasyāmantritasya sāmathryam(). dvitīye tu nadyā ityetasmāt? paraṃ tiṣṭhatītyetat? tiṅantam(). na ca tasyā nadyā ityanena sāmathryam(); kiṃ tarhi? kūla ityasya. ta#ṛtīye'pi--śālīnāmityasmāt? padādyuṣmacchabdaḥ paraḥ, ma tu śālīnāmityanena tasya sāmathryamasti, kiṃ tarhi? odanasyeti. tataḥ sāmathryābhāvāt? tadāśrayā nighātādayo na tyuḥ.
"tadāśrayāḥ" iti. ihetyetat? padaṃ "nadyā" ityecchālīnāmityetacchāśrayo nimittaṃ yathāṃ te tathoktāḥ. atha vā--tat? sāmathryamāśrayo yeṣāṃ te tathoktāḥ. asalyāṃ hrasyāmiṣṭau padādadhikārāt? padavidhirnighātādi kāryaṃ bhavati, sa ca sāmathryanibandhanaḥ. tacca sāmathryamiha nāstīti kuto nighātādeḥ prasaṅgaḥ! tasmādasāmarthye'pi yathā syādityevamarthaṃ samānavākye nighātādi kārya vaktavyam()॥
