"ṇāviti kim()" iti. evaṃ manyate--ṇigrahaṇe cākṛte luṅcaṅādeśayoḥ kṛtayorṇilope cākṛte vṛddhyāvādeśayoścākṛtayoḥ, alū i+at? iti sthita ūkarasya hyasvo mā bhūdatyevamarthaṃ vā ṇigrahaṇaṃ kriyate? ūkārasya vṛddhau kṛtāyāmaukārasaya hyasvo mā bhūdityevamarthaṃ vā? etaccobhayamaprayojanam(); atrāntaraṅgatvādvṛddhyāvādeśābhyāmeva bhavitavyam(). antaraṅgatvaṃ punastayorṇijmātrāśrayatvāt(); hyasvasya ca bahiraṅgatvaṃ caṅāśrayatvāditi. "caṅīti kim()" iti. eṣo'bhiprāyaḥ--kevale ṇau hyasvo mā bhūdityevamarthaṃ caṅītyucyate; naitaccaṅagrahaṇasya prayojanamupapadyate; yasmādācāryapravṛttijrñāpayati--ṇāveva kevale hyasvatvaṃ na bhavatīti, yadayam? "mitāṃ hyasvaḥ" 6.4.92 iti hyasvatvaṃ śāsti. tataḥ kārayati, hārayatītyādau na bhaviṣyatītyabhiprāyaḥ. yadyetasmājjñāpakāt? kārayatītyādau hyasvo na bhavati, tadā'cīkaradityatrāpi na syāt(). athātra vacanasāmathryādbhaviṣyati? evamapi kārayatītyādau syādeva. na hi "mitāṃ hyasvaḥ" 6.4.92 ityucayamāne satyacīkaradityādau na bhavatītyeva viṣayavibhāgaḥ śakyate vijñātum(). tasmāt? caṅgrahaṇaṃ katrtavyam(). "krākṣi vākṣi mākṣi kāṅkṣāyām()" (dhā.pā.667,668,669). yadyapyajanto hyasvabhāvī nāsti, tathāpi vacanādanantyasyācokaradityādau yathā bhavati, tathā acakāṅkṣadityādāvapi syāt(). tasmānmā bhūdeṣa doṣa ityupadhāgrahaṇaṃ kriyata ityabhiprāyaḥ. nanu cāṅgasya yo'c? tasya caṅpare ṇau hyasvo vidhīyate, tatra yadyapyanantaro'j? na sambhavati, tathāpi "yena nāvyavadhānaṃ tena vyavahite'pi vacanaprāmāṇyāt()" (vyā.pa.46) ityekena varṇeneti yena nāvyavadhānam(), api tu sarvadā vyavadhānameva; tena vyavahite'pi vacanaprāmāṇyādbhavitavyam(). ekenaiva varṇena vyavadhānaṃ sarvatra sambhavati. saṅghātena tu vyavadhānaṃ sambhavati, na sambhavati ca. ihācakāṅkṣadityādau saṅghātenaiva vyavadhānam(), ato nāstyeva hyasvaprasaṅga iti kimudhāgrahaṇena? ityāha--"tadetat()" ityādi. upadhāgrahaṇamavaśyamuttarārthaṃ katrtavyam(). iha tu kriyamāṇe satyacakāṅkṣadityevamartham? "avīvadat()" iti. vadeḥ "hetumati ca" 3.1.26 iti ṇic(), tadantādvāditavantaṃ prayojitavāniti punaḥ "hetumati ca" 3.1.26 iti ṇic, tato luṅādiḥ,"ṇeraniṭi" 6.4.51 iti ṇilopaḥ. kiṃ punaḥ kāraṇa na sidhyati, yāvatā ṇilope kṛte caṅpare ṇāvaṅgasyākāro hyasvabhāvinyupadhā bhavatyeva? ityāha--"yo'so" ityādi. "acaḥ parasmin? pūrvavidhau" (1.1.57) api ṇilopasya hyasvatve katrtavye sthānivadbhāvāṇṇijavyavadhānād? hyasvo na prāpnoti. tena vā ṇilopenāglopyaṅgametadbhavati--tadetasmāddhetorna harasavatvaṃ prāpnoti. aglopītyādinānantaravakṣyamaṇipratiṣedhāt? (7.4.4) "ṇyākṛtinidaśāt? siddham()" ityupasaṃkhyānaṃ pratyācaṣṭe--"ṇau iti. ṇyākṛtiriti ṇijātirnirdeśayate, na tu ṇivyaktiḥ. tena vyaktau vyavadhānaṃ na bhavati, na hi jātau; ekatvāṇṇijāteḥ. na hi tayaiva tasyā vyavadhānamupapadyate. nanu cottarayā ṇyākṛtyā jātyādhārabhūtayā ṇivyaktyā ṇijātyāśraye'pi vyavadhānamupapadyata eva? naitat(); tasyāmapi vyaktau jāteḥ samavāyāt(). evaṃ tādadvyavadhāna#ṃ ṇyākṛtyāśraye nāsti. aglopitvamapi nāstyeva; na hratra ṇijātivyatirekeṇā'nyo'gvidyate, yasya lopenāglopyaṅgaṃ syāt(). na ca ṇyākṛterlopaśca; tasyāḥ śrūyamāṇatvāt. na hi śrūyamāṇāyā lope lapapadyate; "adarśanaṃ lopa" 1.1.59 iti vacanāt(). nanu ca jātivyatirekeṇāpi tadāśrayabhūtā vyakatiragvidyata eva; na jātivyaktyorananyatvamiti sāṃkhyoyasiddhāntasyehāśrayaṇāt(). atha vā--ṇyākṛtinirdeśe satyupadhāhyasvatvasya ṇyākṛtanimittatvenā śroyate. tena gobalīvaradanyāyena tasyā ṇyākṛternimittatvenopāttāyā anyasyāko lopaḥ pratiṣedhanimittatvena vijñāyate, sa ceha nāsti. tasmāṇṇyākṛtinirdeśāt? siddham()॥

?. kārayati. ṇau kim ?. `cahrupadhāyā hyasva'ityucyamāne adīdapadityatra
dādhātoṇryantālluṅi caṅi dā i a t iti sthite ākārasya hyasve sati puṅna
syāt. ṇāvityuktau tu ākārasya ṇau parata upadhātvā'bhāvān hyasvaḥ.
`dvirvacane'cī'ti niṣedhastu na śaṅkyaḥ, dvitvanimittacaṅa upadhayā vyavahitatvāt.
tathā ca prakṛte kam a ta iti sthitam. caṅi. `ekāco dve prathamasye'ti
`ajāderdvitīyasye'ti cādhikṛtam. `liṭi dhātoranabhyāsasye'ti sūtraṃ liṭīti
varjamanuvartate. tadāha–caṅi para ityādinā. tathā ca kamityasya dvitve halādiśeṣe ka kam
a ta iti sthitam.
