`lṛti lṛve'tyetanna pratyākhyātam, `tulyāsye'ti sūtrasthābhāṣye tu tasya
pratyākhyāne'pi phalabhede tadayogāt. svīkṛte tu tasminnako'kītyeva suvacamiti
grantho'nupapanna eva. yadi tu `ṛti ṛve'ti vārtikam, `uṝ'iti `ṛve'ti paṭa\ufffdeta,
tadā vārtikayoḥ savarṇa iti padānuvṛttyanapakṣeṇātmuvacamevā'kokīti.
prakṛtamanusarāmaḥ,–ṅau tu `ṛto ṅi—'iti guṇo laparaḥ. gamali. gamal#o#ḥ. gamlṛṣu. evaṃ
śaklṛśabde'pyūhram. iti lṛdantāḥ. \r\niti lṛdantāḥ. seriti. asyāpatyamiḥ
kāmaḥ, asya strī ī=lakṣmīḥ. tena tayā vā saha vartataiti vigrahe `tena saheti
tulyayoge'iti bahuvrīhau `vopasarjanasye'ti sahasya sabhāve `ādguṇaḥ'. saya iti. nanu
`se'ityekārasya antavadbhāvena padāntatvādayādeśaṃ bādhitvā jasi parakataḥ `ehaḥ
padāntā'diti pūrvarūpamekādeśaḥ syāt, tathāca `se'pityeva rūpaṃ syānna tu `saya'iti
cedatra kecit–evaṃ tarhi `thāsaḥ se'īśaḥ se`iti vihitādeśasyānukaraṇaśabdo'mastu,
tatra hi jasi parato'yādeśasya nirbādhatvāditi. smṛteriti. iḥ kāmaḥ smṛto yena saḥ, ī
lakṣmīḥ smṛtā yeneti vā vigrahaḥ. `niṣṭhe'ti smṛtaśabdasya pūrvanipātaḥ. smṛtaya

pūrvantatvaprayuktā padāntateha durlabheti `smṛtaya'–iti rūpaṃ nirbādhameva. tathā
`saya'ityatra`inā sahe'tyādivyutpattipakṣe'pi nānupapattiḥ. na caikāradeśasya
pūrvanatatvenāvyayatvātsupo luk syāditi śaṅkyam, avyayasaṃjñāyā
anvarthatvenopasarjane tadabhāvāt. na caivamapi `sahaga i'iti sthite'ntaraṅgatvādruṇe
kṛte sahaśabdasya sādeśa eva na syāt, ekādeśasya parāvidbhāve sahaśabdasya sabhāvaḥ, tathāpi
`sa'ityadantameva rūpaṃ syānna tu `se' ityedantamiti śaṅkyam, `nendrasya
parasye'tyuttarapadavṛddhipartiṣedhena `pūrvottarapadayoḥ parthamaṃ kāryaṃ bhavati tata
ekādeśaḥ'iti sāmānyajñāpanādityāhuḥ.
