`sānte'ti luptaṣaṣṭhī kaṃ `saṃyogāntasye'tyanena samānādhikaraṇamiti vyācaṣṭe—-
sāntasaṃyogasyetyādi. tasyopadhāyā iti. tatpūrvasyetyarthaḥ. ami
luko'pavādamityādi. etena `svamoramādeśe eva kṛte vā jara'siti prāco granthaḥ
pratyuktaḥ. māṃspacanyā ita. pacyate'syāmiti pacanī. `karaṇādhikaraṇayośce'ti lyuṭ.
ṭittvānṅīpṣa māṃsasya pacanī māṃspacanī. atra ṅaso lukā luptatvātpratyayalakṣaṇaṃ
neti prabhṛtigrahaṇasya prakārārthatvaṃ vinā māṃsaśabdasya `mā'sityādeśo na
sidhyediti bhāvaḥ. nanu pṛṣodarādisūtre `māṃsasya paci yuṅghaño'riti
vakṣyamāṇatvādantalopenāpyetadrūpaṃ siddhamiti cet, atrāhuḥ–`pṛṣṭodarādīni
yathopadiṣṭa'mityasyottarapadādhikārasthatvāllyuḍantaṃ yaduttarapadaṃ `māṃspacana'mityādi
tatraibāntalopaḥ syāt. atra hi ṅūbantamuttarapadaṃ na tu lyuḍantamiti
nāstyebāntalopa iti. māsaśchandasīti. `māsśabdasya takāraḥ syādbhādau pratyaye
chandasī'ti vārtikārthaḥ. `mādbhiḥ śaradbhiḥ durodaraṃ tave'tyudāharaṇam.
