Description:

The elision, augment and mutation of letters to be seen in ((pṛṣodara)) &c, though not found taught in treatises of Grammar, are valid, to that extent and in the mode, as taught by the usage of the sages. Source: Aṣṭādhyāyī 2.0

The class of compounds beginning with (°-ādī-n-i) pŕṣ-o-dara- `having a spotted belly' is introduced as currently taught (by the learned speakers: yath-o-pa-diṣ-ṭá-m).
