mantraścet sa bhavati, yat tadāsām iti nirdiṣṭam iṣṭakāścet tā bhavanti. luk ca
matoḥ iti prakṛtinirhṛāsaḥ. itikaraṇas tataśced vivakṣā. tadvānityavayavena samudāyo
vyapadiśyate. varcaḥśabdo yasmin mantre 'sti sa varcasvān. upadhīyate yena sa

tadvānāsāmupadhāno mantra itīṣṭakāsu luk ca matoḥ. , 4.4.124 sa vivakṣito'vayavo'sminniti tadvān. kaḥ punarasau? samudāyaḥ. ata evāha-- "tadvānityavayavena samudāyo nirdiśyate" iti. etenaikadeśādidaṃ pratyayavidhānamityuktaṃ bhavati. " varcaḥśabdo'smin mantre'sti" ityādinā tatsamudāyaṃ pradarśayati. "cayanavacanaḥ" iti. cinotereva karaṇe lup. atha matubgrahaṇaṃ kimartham, yāvatā matubantādayaṃ vidhīyate, tatra pratyayasya lug vijñāyamāno vidhānasāmathryācca matupa eva bhaviṣyatītyapārthakaṃ matubgrahaṇaṃ? naivam; uttaratra "a()iāmānaṇ" 4.4.125 ityatar hrupavānamātrāvayave dvau matvarthīyau-- inimatupau, tatrāsati matubgrahaṇe luk syāt; asmin sati matupa eva bhavati॥
