Description:

The affix 'ap' comes after the verb 'han' when the words 'ayas', 'vi' or 'dru' are in composition with it, when the word so formed is related to the verb as an instrument, and 'ghan' is the substitute of 'han'. Source: Aṣṭādhyāyī 2.0
