Description:

In the modern Sanskrit, the affix ((kvasu)) optionally replaces ((liṭ)) after the verbs ((sad)), ((vas)) and ((śru)) with a past signification. Source: Aṣṭādhyāyī 2.0

In the domain of the spoken language (= current speech: bhāṣā-yām) [the kŕt 1.93 affix 1.1 KvásU 107 is introduced after 1.2 the verbal stems 1.91] sád- `sit down' (I 907, VI 133), vas- `abide, dwell, reside' (1.1.54) and śru- `hear, listen' (I 980) [as a replacement for l-substitutes of lIṬ 106 to denote the general past tense 84].
