"subantasya parāṅgavadbhāve samānādhikaraṇasya" ityādi. kiṃ punaḥ kāraṇaṃ samānādhikaraṇasya na prāpnoti, yata idamupasaṃkhyānaṃ kriyata ityāha-- "anantaratvāt" iti. "tasminniti nirdiṣṭe pūrvasya" 1.1.65 ityatra nirdiṣṭagrahaṇasyānantaryārthatvāt vyavahite na prāpnotittayupasaṃkhyāyate. "tīkṣṇayā sūcyā sīvyan" ityatra sīvyannityetasmin paratastīkṣṇayetyasya vyavahitasyāpi parāṅgavādādyudāttatvaṃ bhavati.
