"pṛthagāyu"rityādau "jhayo haḥ" ityākārasya ghakāro neti dik. yadi tu "vivṛtamūṣmaṇām" ityatra "īṣatspṛṣṭam" ityata "īṣa"dityanuvarttya "svarāṇāṃ ce"tyatra nivarttya "īṣadvivṛtamūṣmaṇāṃ, vivṛtaṃ svarāṇā"miti prayatnabhedo vyākhyāyate, tadā "nājjhalau" iti sūtraṃ tyaktuṃ śakyamityākare sthitam. anunāsikāste iti. ye tvākṣarasamāmnāyikā aṇasta eva savarṇānāṃ saṃjñā bhavantīti bhāvaḥ. evaṃca repho hakāraśca aṇpratyāgārāntargato'pi na ksayacitsaṃjñā, tatsavarṇasyānyasyā'bhāvādityavagantavyam.
