dvirvacanameva bahiraṅgam; bahvapekṣatvāt. tathā hraca uttarasya yora'nacīti ca tritayaṃ tadapekṣate. yaṇādeśastviko'cīti dvayameva.
"vare" iti. nanu cātra samāse sati saptamyā lukā bhavitavyam. tat kathaṃ vare
iti nirdeśaḥ? ata eva nipātanādalugityadoṣaḥ. anye tvīkārapraśleṣo'treti
varṇayanti. evaṃ ca sambandhaṃ kurvanti--"vare yo'jādeśastasya vidhiṃ prati na
sthānivat, īvidhiṃ ca prati na sthānavat" iti. tenāmalakyāḥ phalaṃ vikāra iti nityaṃ
vṛddhaśarādibhyaḥ" 4.3.142 iti mayaṭ, tasya "phale luk" 4.3.161 iti luk, ataḥ

tatrādye pakṣa ārdhadhātuke viṣayabhūte prāgeva yadutpatterato lopo bhavati, itaratra tu
tasminnutpanne. tatra "aco yat" 3.1.97 ityatra yadajgrahaṇasya prayojanaṃ vakṣyati, tat pūrvaṃ pakṣamāśritya. yat punarihāto lopaḥ paranimittaka ityuktam, taditaraṃ
pakṣam. tasmād viṣayabhedādavirodhaḥ. parasaptamīpakṣe tu tatrājgrahaṇaṃ vispaṣṭārthameva veditavyam.
kathaṃ punajrñāyate parasaptamīpakṣo'pi tatrābhimata iti? "anudāttetaśca halādeḥ" 3.2.149 ityādigrahaṇāt. taddhyevamarthaṃ kriyate-- halantādityevaṃ mā
vijñāyīti. evaṃ hi vijñāyamāne jugupsanaḥ, mīmāṃsanaḥ ityatra yuj na syāt; ajanta-

"śiṣanti" ityādi. kimarthaṃ punarudāharaṇāntaropanyāsaḥ, yāvatā śiṇḍhītyādya-ntaroktamevedaṃ yuktamudāharaṇ? evaṃ manyate-- yadi tadevodāhyiyate tadā yatra parasavarṇa-
statrānusvāreṇa bhavitavyam,tatraiva hi sa vidhīyate; tataśca nāntarīyakatvāt parasavarṇa-
vidhau sthānivadbhāvapratiṣedhe'nusvāravidhāvapi sthānivadbhāvapratiṣedhaḥ kṛta eva, tato'-

śaṅkyaḥ, vidheyasya lopasya padānavayavatvāt. `padāntasya sthāne vidhau ne'ti vyākhyāne
tu `na padānte'ti sthānivattvaniṣedhādvalopaḥ syādevetyādi manoramāyāṃ sthitam.
dvirvacanādau ceti. yalopādaya ādiśabdārthaḥ. `vare' iti tu vare yo'jādeśaḥ sa na
sthānivaditi vyākhyeyam. sahavivakṣābhāve'pi nipātanāddvandvaḥ

`seṭī'ti padaṃ na tāvadaniḍvāyavṛttyartham, ṇijantāttadasaṃbhavāt. nanu `saṃjñāpitaḥ

syāditi. yadi tu pūrvasmādvidhau stānivattvaṃ tarhi ṇicā
vyavadhānānniṣedhastarhi `paṭayatī'tyatrāntarvartinīṃ vibhaktimāśritya
