kaṇāda कणाद

Definition: m. "atom-eater", N. given to the author of the vaiśeṣika- branch of the nyāya- philosophy (as teaching that the world was formed by an aggregation of atoms;he is also called kāśyapa-, and considered as a devarṣi-;See also ulūka-) etc.
