vadhrimatī ‘Having an impotent man as a husband,’ seems in the Rigveda to be the name of a woman who owed the restoration of her husband’s virility to the Aśvins, and obtained a son, Hiraṇyahasta. The word is, however, possibly only descriptive.
saptavadhri Is the name of a protágá of the Aśvins, who appear from several passages of the Rigveda to have rescued him from a tree in which he had got fastened. He is mentioned in the Atharvaveda. According to Geldner, he is identical with Atri.
