chāyākara   

yaḥ chāyāṃ yacchati।

saḥ chāyākarasya vṛkṣasya adhaḥ upaviṣṭaḥ।

chāyā, bhāvānugā, śyāmā, atejaḥ, bhīruḥ, anātāpaḥ, ābhītiḥ, ātapābhāvaḥ, bhāvālīnā, atejaḥ, tejobhīruḥ, praticchāyā, kardamaḥ   

tad sthānaṃ yatra sūryādeḥ prakāśasya rodhanaṃ bhavati।

yātrikaḥ chāyāyāṃ viśrāmyati।

tad yantram yasmin chāyāyāḥ sthitiṃ dṛṣṭvā velāyāḥ anumānaṃ kriyate।

chāyāyantre karadīpasya āvaśyakatā nāsti।

ekena viśeṣeṇa yantreṇa kṛtā kasyāpi likhitasya mudritasya vā pratikṛtiḥ yā mūlaprateḥ samānā vartate।

hindūnām ekā devatā।

mohanaḥ nityaṃ śaniṃ pūjayati।

chāyācitranirmāṇasya kāryam।

keṣāñcana janānāṃ chāyācitraṇasya kautukam asti।

javanikā, yavanikā, pratisīrā, chāyā, citrā, tiraskaraṇī, kaṭa   

citrādīnām yantreṇa prakṣepaṇārthe upayuktā javanikā;

asyām calacitraśālāyām laghu javanikā asti

śliṣṭasya patnī।

succhāyā dhruvasya snuṣā āsīt।

chāyāyukta   

yatra chāyā asti tad।

ātapāt rakṣituṃ vayaṃ chāyāyuktaṃ sthānam agacchāma।
