Definition: m. Name of the king of vultures (son of aruṇa- and śyenī- ;son of garuḍa- ;younger brother of sampāti-;promising his aid to rāma-, out of regard for his father daśa-ratha-, but defeated and mortally wounded by rāvaṇa- on attempting to rescue sītā-)
