sā avasthā yasyāṃ dve athavā adhikāni rāṣṭrāṇi yuddhaṃ sthagayitvā śāntim icchanti।

ijarāila iti tathā ca pelesṭāina iti rāṣṭrayoḥ yuddhāvasānasya prayatnaḥ niṣphalaḥ jātaḥ।

yodhanam, vimardanam, araraḥ, pratidāraṇam, prayuddham, prahāraḥ, sampātaḥ, āskandanam, āyodhanam, viśasanam, samaraḥ   

samūhasya dvayoḥ vā kalahasya tāḍanasya vā kriyā।

nirvācanasya samaye yodhanaṃ jātam।

taiḥ ākramikā raṇanītiḥ svīkṛtā।

vividheṣu saṅgheṣu paṅkti-paramparayā krīḍamāṇā krīḍā।

asmin saptāhe yaṣṭikandukasya sādikrīḍāyuddham asti।

ugrasenasya putraḥ।

yuddhamuṣṭeḥ varṇanaṃ purāṇeṣu asti।

dhanuṣā kriyamāṇaṃ yuddham।

paṇḍitaḥ arjunakarṇayoḥ dhanuryuddhasya kathāṃ śrāvayati।

kasyāpi anīpsitasya manuṣyasya sthiteḥ kāryasya vā samāptyarthaṃ janaiḥ militvā ārabdham ekam abhiyānam।

janayuddhaṃ purataḥ kasyāpi pakṣasya sattā sthātuṃ na śaknoti।

yuddhagrasta   

yaḥ yuddhena grastaḥ asti।

yuddhagraste deśe naikāḥ āpadaḥ udbhavanti।
