madhyapradeśasya vindhyācalaparvataśreṇyāṃ vartamānaṃ hindūnāṃ tīrthasthānam।

narmadānadyāḥ śoṇanadyāḥ tathā johilānadyāḥ prabhavaḥ amarakaṇṭake asti।

devadālī, turaṅgikā, jīmūtakaḥ, kaṇṭaphalā, garā, garī, veṇī, mahākoṣaphalā, kaṭphalā, ghorā, kadambī, viṣahā, karkaṭī, sāramūṣikā, vṛntakoṣā, dālī, romaśapatrikā, kuraṅgikā, sutarkārī, devatāḍaḥ   

kośātakyāḥ iva latāprakāraḥ।

atra sarvatra devadālī asti।

narakaviśeṣaḥ।

vajrakaṇṭakasya varṇanam manusmṛtyām api vartate।

makaryāḥ iva jalajantuviśeṣaḥ yasya nāsā makaryāḥ apekṣayā laghuḥ bhavati।

ambukaṇṭakaḥ makaraśca samānameva iti janāḥ cintayanti।

janmapatrikāyāṃ grahāṇāṃ lagnāt caturthasaptamadaśamasthānāni।

kendraṃ śubhaphaladāyī asti iti daivajñaḥ kathayati।

ekā latā asyā guṇāḥ rucyatvaṃ kaṭutvaṃ kaphavātanāśitvaṃ cakṣuṣyatvaṃ dīpanatvaṃ rasaniyāmakatvaṃ ca ।

ekaḥ kṣupaḥ,asya guṇāḥ,kaṭutvaṃ,uṣṇatvaṃ,rucatvaṃ,mukhaviśodhanatvaṃ,kapha़vātapraśamanatvaṃ,dāhakāritvaṃ,dīpanatvaṃ ca ।

kṣetrajā, śvetakaṇṭakārī, śaśāṇḍulī, go-mūtrikā, śilpikā, caṇikā   

naike vṛkṣakāḥ ।
